Your attention to Sabah and Sarawak is very much appreciated!

June 19th, 2009

Malaysia is famously known as multi-racial and multi-culture country with Malay, Chinese, Indian, along with the indigenous groups of the peninsula and North Borneo made up of its population. Physically, Malaysia can be separated into two parts which are west Malaysia and east Malaysia, but to be frank, sometimes people often mistakenly refer Malaysia as west Malaysia ONLY! They often forgot there’s another part of Malaysia – Sabah and Sarawak. Here I don’t mean to Malaysian but refer to some foreigners. Unbelievable? Just believe it. They just did! I don’t know and I’m not sure why this kind of thing will happen. Hmm… I guess most probably it’s because Sabah and Sarawak are not that famous though…

Talking about Sabah and Sarawak, they joined in the family in year 1963 and formed a country which we, MALAYSIAN, call it MALAYSIA nowadays. Have you ever been to Sabah or Sarawak? Or perhaps I should ask you this way. Have you ever been to Sabah and Sarawak during your life time? Do you ever think of going there or having your vacation there? Or are you not going there and rather spend your holidays abroad. What do you think and how do you think about both of the states? Undeveloped? Under development? Or any others? (whatever… you name it) Seems like there are too many questions here :P , but I still hope that you will not reluctant to give me your answers to these questions. Sincerely, I really do hope that you will feel free to fulfill my request as this is very important for me to do my research and write my thesis. It does help! Your attention to Sabah and Sarawak is very much appreciated! :D

On the other hand, I’m thinking of open up a category that talks about ethnic relations either in Malaysia or out of the country and any others related fields. For your information, I’m currently doing a research on ethnic relations in Malaysia and I’m hoping to get some help from you all. I have to write a thesis about it at the end of the day, so would you mind to give me a hand? You can always give me your comments in the post or you can also write in to me. I can be reached at limtehonline@gmail.com . Would you do me a favor? Please share with me your point of views, opinions, suggestions, ideas, and so on about this category through my email. I’m sure your writings to me will further more help me in completing my research and thesis. Thank you!

Last but not least, I’m nobody to ask you all to help me in my stuff, whatever you think about me, it’s your right, I can’t even control it, but I do sincerely hope that my post here will get some little attention from you all and respond to it. Your attention and response are very much appreciated by me. Once again, thank you very much! :D

I have friends from both Sabah and Sarawak and I have also been there as well!!

i don’t know if my info will help you, so I’ll just be very honest and straight forward ok?

Well, to be honest, I didn’t really stop at Sarawak for a time long enough to say anything about it. So I will just leave it and go to Sabah.

I love Sabah. I love the fact the greeneries there are very well-preserved. There aren’t many highways around, (not because it is underdeveloped. The city is very well booming.) and most of them travel with four wheels drive. I don’t know it’s because of the lack of proper roads or plainly because Sabah-ans love to travel which I find it quite true. The people there are more adventuroues, having exposed to wild animals and jungles and all, they seem to me like they are more courageous. I mean, I can see the difference. No offence but I do know guys who get freaked out by a cockroaches or lizards. I guess they have spent too much in the cities and I don’t think that’s a nice manhood to show. I like the fact that in Sabah, you see WHITE birds flying around, even in the city. This means that the pollution there is not as bad as you can only see BLACK birds flying around here, specifically named CROWS. There are so many of them till government needs to shoot them down!

I don’t know if underdeveloped is a word suited for Sabah. I think Sabah shows its most beautiful side because it blends with the nature in harmony. If I had the choice, I would want Sabah to stay that, developing moderately and at the mean time, maintaining its main attraction.

LOL! Speaking of Sabah, I wanted to go conquer M.Kinabalu this year but couldn’t because I have knee problem that stops me from having vigorous sports forever.

P/s: I really don’t know what I’m talking about. I am a nature person. So I would rather live in a jungle than in a city perhaps? Haha…
