Limteh or beer?

November 5th, 2009

Well, last night was great for me as I got the chance to limteh (read: having drinks) with two friends (Andrew and Mow) from my hometown – Sibu. I was having good time with both of them as I really appreciated the moment every time we got together at the mamak (read: Malay food stall or Indian Muslim food stall).

Limteh-ing with friends is one of the most favorite things to do no matter where I am (Sibu or West Malaysia). I’m gonna miss the moment when we limteh-ing and chit-chatting at the mamak near my living place as Andrew is going to get married and leaving from K.L soon. Hmm… when would I get the chance to limteh with him again huh? Maybe when I got the chance to back Sibu then. :D

I prefer to limteh with friends at the mamak or kopitiam (read: Chinese food stall) instead of having beers. I just wonder why some of my friends prefer to drink beers rather than tea nowadays? They drink beers almost every night and I don’t think I’m going to love the living life style they are having now. Another thing is, I don’t think they really taste and enjoy the beers because most of the time they prefer to one-go the drinks. That’s also one of the reasons why sometimes I don’t really like to drink beers. If they drink it slowly, then I would love to join.

Brothers

Bro… do take care yourself ya. Be a good husband and be a good father soon. :P Hope we still got a lot of chance to limteh again in future when I back to Sibu or when you come to my place. :D

Back home and getting married!

July 6th, 2009

Good day everyone. :D Sorry for not been in touch with you all for so long as I’ve been quite busy with my things and haven’t had the time to write up something here. It’s been a week or two weeks that I haven’t update my post here. Hmm… what’s up with me huh? Kind of feeling lost now…

Arrgg… It’s Monday blues! Kind of hate this feeling nowadays… don’t know why I wonder? Is it because I’m just coming back from my home sweet home? (*sigh…) I miss my family! I miss my home! I miss Sibu! I miss Sarawak! Sometimes, I have a feeling that I want to give up everything here and get back to my hometown, but I know it’s impossible for me now! At least for these two years! I got lots of things that I have to be done and settle here. Studies, works, and whatever… (*sigh again…)

Actually, I’m quite jealous with my friend – WongPK. He’s leaving me soon, back to his hometown, back to his home sweet home and starts a brand new life there. Arrgg… what he’s leaving me huh? Who the hell I am? I’m just no one for saying so. It should be… he’s leaving soon and starts his brand new life and career at Sibu here. And… shhh… :P getting married with his love one too (I guess… ).

I’m quite shocked when I heard that he resigned from his current job and planned to get back to Sibu. I admit that I was quite sad and upset the moment I heard the news as he had been here for quite a long time already and we just managed to meet up each other early this year. Sounds ironic huh? Yeah… we had been lost contact with each other for quite some times… hmm… I guess… it’s been for years huh? (whatever…I forgot already…). It was till last year when I was having my semester-break-holidays back to my hometown there, we just had the chance to meet up each other. We back to our old-school-days lifestyle like before. The feeling was just like we were seventeen again. And… I’m kinda miss that feeling now. Really hope to limteh again with him… I’m sure I’m gonna miss him when he leaves here… (*sigh…) Who’s going to have a drink with me here in the coming days?!

There will be a big turn in my life soon. But as for now, I’ve made the mnost daring decision by writing out my resignation letter already. I just don’t know how to handle it up. Well, maybe I need a few more person to discuss. Especially my girlfriend who still haven’t reply my SMS yet

Welcome year 2009! Go limteh?

January 1st, 2009

Yoyo~ Check it out! My name is Eden, just call me Eden  This is a new year for everyone and for me too! So want to become a new style huh? :P For the first time I write my blog in English. Aiyo~ rojak English k? Cause I like to eat rojak mah  Anyway, cut the crab, today I want to share something about tea. Well, here we go…

Do you like to drink tea? Of course in Malaysia, tea is not only explaining the tea leaf. The most important thing is on our drink-tea-culture, which is more familiar better known as Limteh or Yum Cha. Yes! You are right! One of my favorite activities in University is Yum Cha! That is the most relax time for me cause I can chit-chat with friends, I can watch football matches, and another most important thing is I got more chances to see whether there are pretty girls around or not!

Mamak stall is always our place to go. I always see many people there, but I don’t think the owner of the stall will like their customers especially me as I always sit there for whole night long with only order a cup of drink. Some more, I watch their TV for free! Wuuuu… so syok! :P

Regarding to Yum Cha, every time when I hang around with my friends, I will order a cup of Neslo for sure which is Nescafe mix with Milo. First, I like the flavor, not too bitter and not so coco. Second, it’s the same with my personality. I’m a guy who sometimes happy sometimes sad, sometimes serious sometimes gila. So, better mix myself together to find a balance point. :D Third, sigh… do you know that, for standard price, a cup of Nescafe costs me RM2.00 while Milo costs me RM1.80. So, if I choose Neslo, it just costs me RM 1.80 and I can try both of the taste, then why should I pay more? :P (RM3.80 if you order both drinks in different cups)

Actually from Yum Cha, I can see many things, not only chit-chatting, of course sometimes chit-chatting will also update some news for me, but what I want to mention here is about the menu of the drinks. I will know that the world is just like the drinks and beverages. Ok… let’s see… I used to order hot Neslo, HOT = my heart is full of kindness, friendly, and hot-blood animal. If someone used to order cold drinks, ICE = cold-blood, cool, not friendly, and independent.
Haha… :D This is just my way of thinking. Of course, sometimes, I order less ice. You know… Malaysia is so hot!

When talking about love, sometimes, girls will let guys drink ‘sour lemon tea’. This is really sad for those who order lemon tea for their boyfriends. Meanwhile, guys can also order one drink for girls which is “You are not my cup of tea”. :P Wuahaha… Ask her to ‘die heart’ and give up, try to choose other tea again, see who is the best cup of tea that suits her. For guys also, try to find the best cup of tea that suits you in life ya! Guys, gambateh yah! :D

I like this Yum Cha culture because this is really suitable for guys and girls, man and woman, Ah Pek and Ah Ma. It’s the best activity to have when you are stress, when you are boring, when you want to meet friends, when you want to eat, when you have business to deal. And last time I saw a couple broke up when they went to Mamak stall Yum Cha. Wah… so unbelievable! Mamak helps people the most… Hehe… :P

Unfortunately, the world keeps changing. 24 hours is not enough for us to spend anymore. Maybe it’s because we don’t have a good time management, but what I can say is, our life is getting more and more tasks to be done! As a result, my time for Yum Cha is getting less and less. Sigh… Life becomes not excited… so dull man! Finally or to be said luckily, my best bro told me about this website – limtehonline.com. Walau… online also can limteh? Yes, I like it! :D Now I get my new Mamak already. This is the place where I go when I didn’t go out to Yum Cha with my friends. Hopefully I can limteh with friends here…

Lastly, I wish every human being have a healthy, wealthy and happy new year 2009. Have a good start, have a good life, 365 days to go, 8760 hours to go, don’t waste time, so limteh here will save more time for me. Crazy again! :P
