Malaysia entertainment

January 11th, 2009

When I was in my car with my girl friend in Indonesia few weeks ago. The father stopped by a book store and ordered a gossip magazine. My girl friend grabs the first bite and read through it and shout “See! Told you they have some relationship going on!” the whole car was filled with discussion on both of the celebrities.

Suddenly I thought, even Chinese there also interested on their local entertainment industry, they listen to their music and on and on. Here in Malaysia has the freedom to choose the area of entertainment and most of us choose not to follow what happening in Malaysia. I remember one guy (Should be Tun if I remember correctly) says that “Learn from the east” (Literally translated from Mandarin), and we really do go in-depth don’t we (Chinese)?

Indonesia has a limited channel/show in their country. They’ve been exposed a lot locally, that is the “freedom” I don’t wanna have though. And I think that’s exactly why Malaysia has a different point of view. But this doesn’t really help Malaysia though in my opinion. Firstly, this would stop Malaysia entertainment business to grow slow or might not even grow. Remember, Bahasa only happen to be in a few country, or maybe only Malaysia and Indonesia in my knowledge. Evern since the movie “Bawang Merah, Bawang Putih” came into Malaysia, Indonesia films has taken over Korea and Japanese! And where is Malaysia stands?

However, if Malaysia limited their channel like what happen in Indonesia, I think many oppositions parties would come out for the rakyat So, Malaysia being controlled by the people and that cut down the growth of entertainment business and losing a lot of money onto buying channels from around countries… Or so… Because things are very unclear on both side, if you know what I mean.

Welcome year 2009! Go limteh?

January 1st, 2009

Yoyo~ Check it out! My name is Eden, just call me Eden  This is a new year for everyone and for me too! So want to become a new style huh? :P For the first time I write my blog in English. Aiyo~ rojak English k? Cause I like to eat rojak mah  Anyway, cut the crab, today I want to share something about tea. Well, here we go…

Do you like to drink tea? Of course in Malaysia, tea is not only explaining the tea leaf. The most important thing is on our drink-tea-culture, which is more familiar better known as Limteh or Yum Cha. Yes! You are right! One of my favorite activities in University is Yum Cha! That is the most relax time for me cause I can chit-chat with friends, I can watch football matches, and another most important thing is I got more chances to see whether there are pretty girls around or not!

Mamak stall is always our place to go. I always see many people there, but I don’t think the owner of the stall will like their customers especially me as I always sit there for whole night long with only order a cup of drink. Some more, I watch their TV for free! Wuuuu… so syok! :P

Regarding to Yum Cha, every time when I hang around with my friends, I will order a cup of Neslo for sure which is Nescafe mix with Milo. First, I like the flavor, not too bitter and not so coco. Second, it’s the same with my personality. I’m a guy who sometimes happy sometimes sad, sometimes serious sometimes gila. So, better mix myself together to find a balance point. :D Third, sigh… do you know that, for standard price, a cup of Nescafe costs me RM2.00 while Milo costs me RM1.80. So, if I choose Neslo, it just costs me RM 1.80 and I can try both of the taste, then why should I pay more? :P (RM3.80 if you order both drinks in different cups)

Actually from Yum Cha, I can see many things, not only chit-chatting, of course sometimes chit-chatting will also update some news for me, but what I want to mention here is about the menu of the drinks. I will know that the world is just like the drinks and beverages. Ok… let’s see… I used to order hot Neslo, HOT = my heart is full of kindness, friendly, and hot-blood animal. If someone used to order cold drinks, ICE = cold-blood, cool, not friendly, and independent.
Haha… :D This is just my way of thinking. Of course, sometimes, I order less ice. You know… Malaysia is so hot!

When talking about love, sometimes, girls will let guys drink ‘sour lemon tea’. This is really sad for those who order lemon tea for their boyfriends. Meanwhile, guys can also order one drink for girls which is “You are not my cup of tea”. :P Wuahaha… Ask her to ‘die heart’ and give up, try to choose other tea again, see who is the best cup of tea that suits her. For guys also, try to find the best cup of tea that suits you in life ya! Guys, gambateh yah! :D

I like this Yum Cha culture because this is really suitable for guys and girls, man and woman, Ah Pek and Ah Ma. It’s the best activity to have when you are stress, when you are boring, when you want to meet friends, when you want to eat, when you have business to deal. And last time I saw a couple broke up when they went to Mamak stall Yum Cha. Wah… so unbelievable! Mamak helps people the most… Hehe… :P

Unfortunately, the world keeps changing. 24 hours is not enough for us to spend anymore. Maybe it’s because we don’t have a good time management, but what I can say is, our life is getting more and more tasks to be done! As a result, my time for Yum Cha is getting less and less. Sigh… Life becomes not excited… so dull man! Finally or to be said luckily, my best bro told me about this website – limtehonline.com. Walau… online also can limteh? Yes, I like it! :D Now I get my new Mamak already. This is the place where I go when I didn’t go out to Yum Cha with my friends. Hopefully I can limteh with friends here…

Lastly, I wish every human being have a healthy, wealthy and happy new year 2009. Have a good start, have a good life, 365 days to go, 8760 hours to go, don’t waste time, so limteh here will save more time for me. Crazy again! :P

Goodbye year 2008 and welcome year 2009

January 1st, 2009

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Brothers and Sisters, Papa and Mama, Grandpa and Grandma, and all the mankind out there, let us all say “Goodbye year 2008 and welcome year 2009” together. :D

It’s been a long time since I last blogging on the net. I don’t know why I had been that quiet for such a long time. :?: Maybe because of no time (most people or I will probably say so but I think most of them just because of lazy…including me… ). Sometimes I do feel that it’s just an excuse not to involve myself to do so many things and to spend so much time on the net (most of time I just spend my time on net for academic purpose). But I think I was wrong. Spending time on the net made me understanding so many things…including things that I don’t want to know or things that not necessary for me to know… That’s why I’m here now. That’s why I’m starting to drop some words right now right here. And I think I would probably do the same thing (blogging) for the rest few years in future. Actually, if can I would be happy and willing to be a blogger for the rest of my life… :D Blogger, blogging, blog…it seems so far yet so near to me…I’m not sure the way of the road to 3B…sometimes I would ask myself “Will bloggers have future? Will bloggers have future in this country – Malaysia? What are the role(s) played by bloggers in Malaysia? How to be a good blogger? Is there any blogger association or club in Malaysia?”. Maybe the questions mentioned are just stupid questions or even rubbish and nonsense but I want to ask…have you all ever think of these questions? Have you all ever ask yourself these questions?

Let us all pray that in year 2009 everything will be alright, everything will be fine, everything will be going smoothly, everything will be under control, everything will be in the best way. As I concern, year 2008 is just a messy year. Everything seemed just not right. From the world to the country, from the country to the state, from the state to city, from the city to the town, from the town to the village, everything seemed just gone messy (sigh…what a year 2008…nothing seemed right). Hopefully, year 2009 will be a change and a chance for all of us. We really need a change and we are all eager to change now. And of course we also need a chance…no no no…I suppose say chanceS!!! Hahaha! Cause we all are greedy right? (Mankind are greedy enough…aren’t so? If mankind are not greedy then the world is very peaceful and harmony now. Nothing will happen…No Wars, No Riots, No Crisis and so on…). :D

Let us forget all the bad things that happened in year 2008. Let bygone be bygone…everything will be O.K again when it comes to year 2009. Just remember that, anything can happen if you believe and trust in it. The better thing we have to do now is prepare ourselves the mood to countdown and welcome year 2009. Hereby, I wish you all have a wonderful year in 2009 and Happy New Year. Do take care of yourself ya… Till then, see you all in my next post :D
